who is a gay without his girl and who is a girl without her gay?
girls and their stupid twinks is a celebration of one of the most recognizable relationships in queer culture: the girl who keeps the twink alive, and the twink who gives the girl personality.
spread out across an LA park, people show up in pairs, trios, or just wander in solo until they’re adopted. everyone lounges on blankets, trades stories, takes pictures, shares snacks, and forms new friendships on the basis of being a lil queer.
this event is inspired by one of the strongest forms of chosen family: the emotional support girl and her emotionally unstable twink. the dynamic is universal - the girl grounding the gay, the gay resurrecting the girl - a delicate balance of chaos and care.
we wanted a space that honors that bond, celebrates the silliness of it, and gives people a chance to find or reunite with their other half. because in the end, a twink is nothing without his girl, and a girl is nothing without her stupid twink.
EVENT DESCRIPTION
a community gathering for all the girls and their gays. come alone, or with somebody, but doesn't matter cuz you'll find friendship, love, and the beauty of community and all that free will has to offer.
